My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

Projection? Risk is played on a network with vertices representing the territories.

So literally like Stellaris
Every 4x game ever is just risk with different bells and whistles when you come down to it
I don't really consider Paradox grand strategy games to be the same genre as 4X, they're really their own beast and the complexity of even their older games makes Risk look like a game for toddlers.

And then Mercator uncle's like "Projection? What's a projection? The Earth's flat!"
Great idea in theory, but please use an accurate globe, and don't put ridiculously oversized continents on it like in those photos.
It makes sense from a usability POV - if you increase the size of the continents, you can place your armies better. Esp. as half of the planet is just the pacific ocean, which has no function in Risk as far as I remember
