If everyone got double pay after 24 work hours per week, companies would have an incentive to keep each employee at under that limit. If they needed longer hours, Toney could hire a second employee to finish the day/week. If you job won’t pay for your extra hours but you want more money, then then working a second job actually fits into the number of hours in the week.

… with the Model Y in particular, not all vehicles come with manual releases for the rear doors, as Tesla warns in the car's manual. It's unclear if the Model Y involved in the crash was equipped with the emergency feature.

they’re not anti-abortion
(education and financial security prevent abortions, not outlawing them)

they’re forced-birth (regardless of whether the woman dies)

https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Faith_(film)

Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism's Unholy War on Democracy is a 2024 American documentary film directed by Stephen Ujlaki and Chris Jones. The film explores the rise of Christian nationalism in the United States and its opposition to American democracy, and the historic role of Christian nationalists in the conservative movement, beginning with Paul Weyrich and Jerry Falwell in the Moral Majority, and Weyrich's creation of the secretive Council for National Policy. They opposed secular and democratic institutions, supported using government to promote Christianity, and much later, their political influence led to the support for the candidacy of Donald Trump, the subsequent January 6 United States Capitol attack, and the policy blueprints for Project 2025.[2]

If it’s political malpractice, then it’s on Donald’s to-do list.

But it’s a pretty good tactic if you’re not actually anti-genocide but looking to both affect the election and tarnish the image of the Palestinians.

it’s pronounced “jif”

This Kickstarter is for odd-numbered dice: D9. D11, D13, D15, D17 and D19. Available in Black, Red, Yellow, Green, Indigo and Purple. $12 plus shipping for the set of six.

I’ve backed Impact! Miniatures before and it’s always been great.

I really like that odd-numbered dice even exist. It sounds like a what-if that was taken too far. And it turned out great.

What about a unique way to show curses and disadvantages to your players. Impact!'s cursed dice allow you to give your players a unique die to use for the session to show the effect of their misguided actions. A D19 to show a curse that prevents criticals and natural 20s. Along with several other different dice to disadvantage rolls in many creative ways.

These dice were designed to be as fair as possible for an odd sided die. All the sides are equal sized and equal distant from the center mass. Each die was created by a specialist trained in working with geometeric design.

These odd dice are all new molds and modified designs by Impact! We've learned from our attempts to make odd sided dice in the past and these dice are brand new designs to make sure the dice stop faster by being larger and designed to have better defined stopping surfaces. The new designs are also easier to read with larger fonts and better extras to show you the top value being rolled.

I see more and more posts that are just a link to a video, post, or article. There’s no text in the description.

I’d like to see some of the article quoted and/or a brief reason this is currently being posted to Lemmy.

When it’s just a link, the cynical part of me thinks it’s just an SEO bot—especially if the account never posts any comments.

What are some ways to encourage posts that are more engaging?

Or should I just ignore, downvote, and/or block those doing this kind of posting?

edit: Thank you to all who answered! I’m amazed at how many ways you came up with to answer this.

I used https://www.windowscentral.com/gaming/pc-gaming/how-to-install-windows-on-steam-deck to set up Windows-To-Go for a few games that won't work in SteamOS. It seems to be working fine, but now I wonder if this would work…

I currently have a 1 terabyte SD card that I'm using for SteamOS. I know Linux partitions can be shrunk, so I'd like to shrink it down to half the size. Then I'd clone the partition(s) from the Windows-To-Go SD card to the now-empty space on the 1 terabyte SD card.

I think I''ll need to clone the Windows partition(s) to the beginning of the drive. So when I make the empty space by shrinking the Linux partition, I'll create the empty space at the beginning of the drive.

I'll be using GParted and Clonezilla since I'm used to them.

I have two questions:

  • Will Windows care that the second half of the SD card has a LInux partition? I don't want/need it to see or read/write to the Linux partition.
  • Will SteamOS still see the Linux partition automatically as if nothing's changed and just ignore the new Windows partition(s)?
