Basically just five seasons of the cast getting together, having drinks, and playing poker more or less in character. Call it "Galaxy [Class] Series of Poker". TV gold.

I dunno about just poker, but I’d watch a show that took place entirely on the ship (no planets of the week or big budget special effects). I loved the bottle show episodes of TNG. They were so damn cozy!

Poker Night at the Inventory, but Trek?

They should have done this a long time ago.

Right? I feel like it would be a high quality, low budget, low stress series. No CGI, minimal costume and make up, the writers may just have to give them some in-character stuff to work into their otherwise ad-libbed banter. The cast's age wouldn't be a concern since they'd be comfortably seated the whole time.

The framing device could be that after PIC S3, they decide to meet up for a weekly game of poker and we're just spectators to it.

It could work 😆

I was quoting TNG's final words, but now you've got me actually wanting this!

It could be a little story anthology series, with each player taking terms sharing an embellished story to distract from the strength of their hands.

Yes!

And Worf tells this highly embellished story of honor and victory, everyone reacts in awe, and he folds.

Beau. Maybe we could get a story about his targ when he has a good hand.

Dr. Crusher could get everyone a little hot under the collar with a ghost story

It's not too difficult. Each player gets six cards, except for the player on the dealer's right, who gets seven.

Unless the player on the right is Worf who gets none because he's just going to fold anyway.

Ah. I'll admit, my TOS lore is lacking. Was trying to deflect with a smile and nod, but you caught me lol.

Didn't mean it like that at all, we're all here for fun and occasional shitposts. Consider yourself one of today's lucky 10,000!

Oh no offense taken at all, haha. Was just making a confession and trying to be funny about it.

This game is exceedingly simple. With only fifty two cards, twenty one of which I will see, and four other players, there are a limited number of winning combinations.
