Welp, looks like the car-brains have gone full mask-off in Czechia. I always knew they were terrible people, but I wasn't expecting to read an article making the connection quite so strongly today.

As Turek’s image as a tough guy with an expensive taste in cars shows, Motorists mainly represent younger men living in smaller towns, often dependent on cars and the automotive industry.

...

The group’s representatives often praise self-discipline, healthy lifestyles...

LOL, pretending car-dependency is a "healthy lifestyle." All reading that makes me think of is how utterly fucking weak, pathetic, and generally inferior those losers must be compared to folks living an actually healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

What's ironic here is Czechia has one of the best public transportation systems in the world.

That depends. In the cities and in Prague especially - yes. Even between the cities it's OK. But the depopulating villages on the internal periphery where you get a bus maybe twice a day that's unfortunately another story.

A bus twice a day? That's way more than most big towns in the USA have

That might as well be, but it's insufficient to sustain a comfortable life without a car and takes away independence from people who can't drive, like children or elderly.

To be clear they already lost a lot of support. They behave like bunch of kids and people would rather vote for Babiš than them.

Also the coalition ANO, SPD, Motoristé is supper fragile right now. They argue about their childish behaviour and everyone is bit pissed, I don't give them much time.
