He must really hate the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. You know that document he "swore" to support and defend?

How about that "minor update" to the voting machines in the swing states? Nationalize the elections for the Government of Putin shows the vast influence Vlad and his Russian thugs have in the US government.

FYI, in Slavic languages ,the name Vladimir is properly shortened to Vova (Вова), and the name Vlad is the abbreviation for Vladislav

Just as a reminder:

US Constitution Provisions

  1. Article I, Section 4 (Elections Clause)

    • Grants states primary authority to set "Times, Places and Manner" of congressional elections.
    • Allows Congress to override state regulations, ensuring federal oversight.
    • Originally, states determined voter eligibility (e.g., property ownership), but the Constitution required alignment with state legislative voter qualifications for House elections.
  2. Presidential Elections (Article II, Section 1)

    • Establishes the Electoral College, with states appointing electors "in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct".
    • The Constitution specifies minimal qualifications for electors, leaving selection processes to states.
  3. Amendments Expanding Voting Rights

    • 15th Amendment (1870): Prohibits denying the vote based on "race, color, or previous condition of servitude".
    • 19th Amendment (1920): Bans sex-based voting restrictions.
    • 24th Amendment (1964): Eliminates poll taxes in federal elections.
    • 26th Amendment (1971): Lowers voting age to 18.

US Code (Title 52)

Title 52 of the US Code, titled "Voting and Elections", codifies federal laws enforcing constitutional voting rights:

  • 52 U.S.C. §10101: Explicitly prohibits racial discrimination in voting and mandates uniform voter qualifications.

  • Voting Rights Act of 1965 (52 U.S.C. §§10301–10702):

    • Bans discriminatory practices (e.g., literacy tests) and requires federal preclearance for election law changes in jurisdictions with historical discrimination .

    • Directly implements the 15th Amendment, leading to a surge in Black voter registration post-1965.

    • Subtitle II: Addresses election administration, including voter registration and accessibility standards

You seem to be quoting legislation as if it matters to the current regime

[–] Rhoeri@piefed.world 17 points 8 hours ago

It absolutely is.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world 39 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

Question remains, how will americans stop it from happening.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 30 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Start executing congress and senate members one by one until there's enough support for impeachment, but keep going until he's in prison. They will either die or leave if they want to not die.

[–] Pistcow@lemmy.world 24 points 9 hours ago

Where did you get a copy of my Presidential platform!? The wood chipper must feed...

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Remember that Mussolini guy?

I mean, we wont, but that would be nice.

[–] diabetic_porcupine@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

I wonder who else we don’t remember

[–] gnuthing@piefed.social 9 points 9 hours ago

Revolt or coup

[–] YoiksAndAway@piefed.zip 44 points 8 hours ago

The party of small government and state's rights, ladies and gentlemen.

[–] Sabin10@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago

He also hates all the other amendments and the rest of the constitution as well. For Hume it's all a roadblock preventing (or slowing it seems) him from becoming an all powerful dictator for life.

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 27 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

You murcans amaze me. Your country is circling the drain at the hands of a person who is a serial rapist, conman, pedofile, bankrupt, thief and more. Yet you concern yourself with whether or not he’s honouring his ‘word’ to obey your laws?

[–] iamthetot@piefed.ca 1 points 3 hours ago

a person who is a serial rapist, conman, pedofile, bankrupt, thief and more

And the thing for me is I genuinely don't think anyone has ever been more blatantly these things. Like so obviously evil. Cartoonishly so.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

Some of us aren't wondering. We fully know he's full of shit and has shit the bed.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 14 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Trump also shit his pants on live TV yesterday. Nothing but shit flows out of this creature. Why wont he just go away?

[–] baronvonj@piefed.social 6 points 7 hours ago (3 children)

Trump also shit his pants on love TV yesterday.

... what now?

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

It's The second time I read this, must be true.

[–] kandoh@reddthat.com 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

There's convincing video too.

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

I will just believe you on that.

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 44 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

You know that document he "swore" to support and defend?

He's not done anything to support it in the past, why would he start now?

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 15 points 10 hours ago

He's not kept a promise (or oath, or contract, or equivalent) either.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 7 hours ago

I'm sure this has nothing to do with seeing deep-red seats flipped to blue.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 8 points 7 hours ago

I am the smartest president ever! Watch me rig the elections and get away with it! I’m the bestest most intelligent man person ever! Who shit in my pants again? Biden? Obamda? Thank you for your attention to this matter. DJT 🫲🍊🫱

Trump knows only one amendment, the TRUMP AMENDMENT, in it says "i can do whatever i want, say whatever i want because i'm such a bastard even my shit is abandoning me and i don't care how much i fuck up or how many lives i destroy, i'll take as much as i can down before i go" so the others don't exist anymore.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 12 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Go ahead and try to organize that for yourself, without congressional funding to run it (because that would not be constitutional). It's meaningless if the states don't fund and run them. We can talk about an amendment if you really want but he'll die long before it kicks in.

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 12 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Im a bit amazed he’s still walking around. He looks terrible.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 11 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

My grandmother was kept alive in an Alzheimers ward for almost a decade beyond recognition of anyone or the ability to care for herself in any way. You can coast along without a lot of cognitive function as long as the meds and pacemaker keep your heart going. I'd rather die, personally.

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 8 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Yes. But in a facility a nutritionist is overseeing your meals.

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 6 points 8 hours ago

Well unless states start to stand up for themselves and actually withhold tax payments; he's going to appropriate the funds from other federal programs to impose his desires. Anyone that doesn't participate will just be marked as 'non-voter' leaving nothing but his supporters to assert his position as King.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

Well, right now, sure.

He hates most of the constitution, though.

Too many syllables and not enough pictures.

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 6 points 8 hours ago

Congress could impeach and remove Trump from office but they don't want to
