Damn. The book announcement was just days ago.

RIP Mr Grant. Thanks for keeping me thoroughly entertained throughout the 90s. When I first moved out of home back in the early nineties I had the first four series on vhs. We watched them over and over and over. Now I’m going to watch them again.

"This has been a good day. I've eaten 5 times, slept 6 times and made lots of things mine. Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can't have sex with something! Aow! Yeah!"

“Twelve minutes. And that includes the time it took to eat the pizza.”

Smegging hell. 70 is a good run, but still too soon for me.

70 is a good run

70 must seem impossibly far off to you !

Or, he is looking at his family and not many make it past that age? Only a few men in my family made it to 70, the women mostly made it to between 80 and 92

Boo this timeline. :(

We were talking about Red Dwarf at work just yesterday. It's still one of my favourite all time shows.

I haven't seen a lot of the more recent years stuff - for a long time I hadn't realized they were still making stuff occasionally. I need to go find a collection so I can catch up…

"Back to Earth" feels kinda off, but still had some funny bits.

Series X to XII feel like a return to form, with X feeling more like the first few series in tone (more sitcom-y), and the next two feeling more adventurous like series 3 to 6. A few episodes get pretty Black Mirror-ish (in a good way) while keeping up the humor.

Promised Land kept the level of quality, but told a longer story, while remaining very funny and imaginative.
