All private ownership of land is deeply morally suspect. Nobody made that valley, someone was violent enough to make a claim stick. Usually several people, over a long period.

All private ownership ~~of land~~ is deeply morally suspect. Workers made those means of production but someone was violent enough to claim it for themselves. Sometimes several people for as long as capitalism has existed.

Okay but what if my great great grandparents stole the car, passed it down ever since, and I'll be homeless without it.

Landback and decolonization. Because your great great grandparents stole the car, the people it was stolen from have been subject to generational poverty, genocide, and slavery that impacts them today, while you sustain a generational benefit. It needs to be rectified.

The person who got their car stolen should be glad because the person who stole it was probably more happy than the person who lost it was sad they lost the car!
