I haven’t heard of it before now but this sounds right up my group’s alley, going to have to read up on it more! We just did another game of TI4 yesterday and I love it but man it’s a whole day affair.

I love TI4 still but I can only play it once or twice a year and it is indeed a whole affair that takes all day and is a huge commitment. Voidfall is a game I can play every Friday night with the right buddies so it’s a vastly better game because it’s more accessible. I’ll always love TI4 though.
So in a weird twist I was out of town visiting a buddy over the weekend and he brought up how he’d snagged this, and it was a bit too much for a couple friends in his main group, and asked if I wanted to borrow it. Reading through the rules tonight!
That’s great! It certainly is a lot, but worth it! Definitely watch the Paul Grogan how to play video
That sounds interesting, I love setup time and 4X! One question tho, what do you mean by "euro"? Thanks
Euro:
- Lack of randomness.
- Few direct confrontation.
- Weak theme.
- Strong focus on mechanics.
Ameritrash:
- Strong theme.
- Mechanics are rough and simple.
- Direct confrontation.
- Dices rolling, everywhere, all the time…
Thank you for this. I have to agree since, as European players, we often argue about a game when it is "too much random", mostly when we loose ^^. TIL it was a cultural thing!
