The administration of United States President Donald Trump has announced plans to expand the use of the federal death penalty, including through the deployment of firing squads.

The announcement on Friday was part of a policy document issued by the Department of Justice, setting out the legal argument for various methods of execution.

It touted steps for “restoring and strengthening” the death penalty as integral to the pursuit of justice.

“The Department of Justice acted to restore its solemn duty to seek, obtain, and implement lawful capital sentences — clearing the way for the Department to carry out executions once death-sentenced inmates have exhausted their appeals,” the Justice Department said in a news release.

They know there will be riots when the fat fuck will not step down after loosing the election so they want people to be scared and sheep away.

The "Pro-Life" party. They only want people born, but after that moment, they don't give a flying fuck about life. They just want another poor, uneducated, unhealthy voter and consumer out there.

ragebait. pure ragebait. everything this administration does seems to be an intense kind of ragebait. "all attention is good attention" or sth, idk.

There's always talk about how they can't find a painless way...

But anyway would be painless if they just used anesthesia first like before surgery.

They don't want a painless way.

Also, inert gas asphyxiation is supposed to be totally painless, and simple nitrogen is very abundant and easy to get.

(But, for some reason, governments don't like the aesthetics of 'gas chambers'. Odd, that.)

Only if done right. The execution in Georgia (IIRC) used a mask instead of a chamber.

aesthetics of ‘gas chambers’.

I know what you meant, but the visuall aesthetic of a gas chamber is fucked...

I got tear gassed in one in bootcamp, and the thing that sticks out the most is how ominous and sanitized a room like that is.

Obviously not the same thing, but everybody had a "holy fuck" moment when we were walking in and being ordered into ranks and everything.

There was a lot of very surreal moments like that.

To be fair, a high caliber round to the head would be pretty instant. I'd take over a lethal injection.

But nitrogen is the best method.

The orange twat probably watched a movie with someone getting executed that way, fell asleep, shit his diapers, and when he woke up decided that was the coolest thing ever...

Sorta like how the shitgibbon is trying to reopen fucking Alcatraz. Ugh.

First runner up, behind "dismemberment with a hacksaw." Or something.

Sure, Trump first

I'd prefer to go out via firing squad than the current way they do it
