They know there will be riots when the fat fuck will not step down after loosing the election so they want people to be scared and sheep away.
The "Pro-Life" party. They only want people born, but after that moment, they don't give a flying fuck about life. They just want another poor, uneducated, unhealthy voter and consumer out there.

Also, inert gas asphyxiation is supposed to be totally painless, and simple nitrogen is very abundant and easy to get.
(But, for some reason, governments don't like the aesthetics of 'gas chambers'. Odd, that.)
Only if done right. The execution in Georgia (IIRC) used a mask instead of a chamber.

I got tear gassed in one in bootcamp, and the thing that sticks out the most is how ominous and sanitized a room like that is.
Obviously not the same thing, but everybody had a "holy fuck" moment when we were walking in and being ordered into ranks and everything.
There was a lot of very surreal moments like that.
To be fair, a high caliber round to the head would be pretty instant. I'd take over a lethal injection.
But nitrogen is the best method.
