Definitely not buying one of their products now, and I was looking in to a new one at work too. Idiots.
Have a look at Prusa instead if you can. Core One is great.
I have a flashforge ad5x and use it without a cloud connection. Just installed Orca Slicer and connected over LAN. Works great.
Not sure what features I'm missing over Orca-Flashforge.
