Boo hoo, losing control of OpenAI made him feel sad? He should have lost control over it forever. It also was not "his", he's not owed that control.

I’m going to go work on a pure AGI research effort

Maybe you should have. Anthropic was founded by former openai engineers who detested altman.

just look into the previous companies he ran and sold.

Completely filled with lies. platform with 100,000+ users? sold for millions? … aaand all the users was a lie, and the company who bought the platform shut it down.

why tf does anyone trust this parasite

Altman admits people think he’s a liar

because he is. When you smell shit everywhere you go, check your own shoe

Altman’s longtime commitment to the nonprofit

he literally turned it into a for profit??

When the entirety of human culture is geared toward who can be the most “competitive” within the confines of the law (which these people constantly challenge anyway) should we expect anything different than the main beneficiaries to be people who just generally suck? People who are most likely terrible to interact with personally. Dudes who literally probably don’t have a single friend that isn’t transactional because their entire being is dedicated to the pursuit of capital that they misidentify as legacy. I guess it might be easy to sleep with silk sheets, a penthouse view, and all the ketamine; but god must that existence be empty.

Every public figure we see people twitter about are awful people... There isnt any point in discussing if you can trust them. :)

Well maybe to spread the word I guess.

"Prolific liar says it is "Very painful" being forced to confront claims at OpenAI trial rthat he's a prolific liar".

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

I'm usually over sympathetic. Not here though!

So they are well beyond comparing the lengths of male body parts, and now rather accusing each other of being the bigger asshole.

At the same time, however, it seems to be a competition to see who is the stronger manipulator of public opinions.

Hitler comparisons come to mind... :-(
