Maybe they finally realized when trump retreats to that after refusing to leave office....

That it's not gonna be big enough for all of them.

If he tries to seize the country as a dictator and locks himself in that bunker, all the Republicans who helped him up to that point are gonna be standing outside the door trying to get in.

If he can't retreat to a bunker, they won't have to fend for themselves.

Although I gotta admit, in the back of my head I was interested to see if we'd really just cut communication lines and pour concrete over the entrances and exits in that scenario.

If it happens, we should just entomb him under the White House in that bunker as a remainder to every future president that when push came to shove, the people won.

The oligarchs need a constant reminder of what happens when the majority of a country feels they have nothing to lose.

We gotta deal with the shit, might as well get the silver lining out of it.

Little chance construction would be finished by Inauguration Day anyway.

trump doesn't understand how real construction works, because all his projects have been grifts.

He promises cheap, fast, and well constructed...

But none of that ever materializes because his goal is money not actual building.

This is probably the only thing he actually wanted quality and on budget, and zero people willing to work with him can do that. Every connection he has is a grifter. But because he cared, he assumed everyone else did, but they still saw it as another grift.

So he likely had no idea what an actual timeline was when he bulldozed the existing one.

He could end up with a fancy bunker door that leads to an unfinished tunnel.

Oligarchs won't need a reminder when they're all hanging upside down too.

Plus, him being entombed under the White House would make for great ghost stories during tours.

And sometimes you can still hear Old Man Trump shuffling through these halls and shitting himself in the Oval Office…

"If you look in the mirror at 1am and say covfefe 3 times Old Man Trump will appear and shout FAKE NEWS!"

Hear... Smell... Either way, that's going to be one unpleasant encounter.
