I'm in my 50s and I thought I knew what I was doing until everything changed.

I'm in my late 50's and still winging it everyday. ๐Ÿคช

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don't.

I said it in the other thread and I find it worth saying it again. Who the fuck wants to hang out with someone who knows exactly what they're doing anyway? So fucking boring people. Never experienced shit.

40s and I feel like I'm finally seeing a path forward. We'll see if it pans out.

Yep. I finally feel like I have things semi-under control, but am also 90% sure a supreme catastrophic event is looking in the corner waiting to derail everything I've worked for. Life, I guess. Will be 39 on Sunday.

Whoa we share a birthday, though I'm turning 23 haha. I'm putting the odds of a supreme catastrophic event at like 66% but other than that I feel pretty same

It gets more complicated in your late 30 and 40 because your patents push the wheel into your hands and you have to drive their car too at the same time.

That hits hard, I lost my mama 4 or five years ago and I'm in my late 30's with no fucking clue what's going on.

My spouse lost their Mon around that age 25 years ago (dead by 40's), I just lost mine (still too young, early 70's).

It doesn't really get easier, but maybe I'm better equipped to handle it. Unfortunately I think I may have a bit too good of an idea about what is going on, just not what to do about it.

Meanwhile, my friend has a 99yo mom and will still be devastated at the impending loss.

Stay strong.

I'm in my thirties and I think I have it figured out, for now. But it's all made up as I go.
