And I want him to be in a shallow grave right now. Guess we don't all get what we want.

[–] grte@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 hours ago

I want Hoekstra's tongue on my asshole in the next minute.

Not really but I'm sure you get where I'm coming from.

Bully demands you stop giving them the silent treatment

Why stock a product that is unlikely to sell?

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 4 points 16 hours ago

Can stock it all they want, does not mean peops will buy.

[–] Foxer@lemmy.ca 26 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Well then I guess you better find a way to do a deal with Canada and maybe stop acting like such a jackass

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 3 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Why am I a jackass for not wanting to give 1 penny to the american govt t all if possible?

[–] Foxer@lemmy.ca 13 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Misunderstanding there I think, I was referring to Hoekstra, the reply is meant to be a reply directly to him about wanting American booze back on Canadian shelves not you. Sorry for the confusion, my bad

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 5 points 5 hours ago

Yup. I am almost 70 and am almost blind, definitely senile and then there’s confusion. Sorry about that.

[–] LostWon@lemmy.ca 7 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Looks to me like they were talking about (or to, as the case may be) Hoekstra.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 3 points 17 hours ago

Thank you. Not sure why I got downvoted. Communication works well thought I find.

No problem. Restore the rule of law and basic human rights for everyone, including getting all the corruption out of government, and The White House in particular, and I, personally, would welcome American booze back on Canadian shelves. Not that I would ever buy any...

I’d also say: he should talk to his administration about their illegal softwood lumber tariffs. The US is keeping numerous Canadian products either out of the US or taking an inappropriate cut before the American consumer gets to see the products. This has been validated in international court. If the US sticks to legitimate, predictable and legal trade with Canada, Canada will be more than happy to increase import trade with the US.

Canada, please, ban it harder!

[–] WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today 3 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Oh, YES!!

HARDER!

[–] CapuccinoCoretto@lemmy.world 13 points 20 hours ago

No thanks. Can't stomach fascism.

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 10 points 19 hours ago

How 'bout no

[–] TerdFerguson@lemmy.ca 5 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Cool. How does he plan to male that happen?

By acting like a cunty little bitch? Because thats been really effective so far.

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 9 points 19 hours ago

If he wants to see US booze for sale in Canada all he needs to do is come to Saskatchewan where our intoxicated joke of a premier put it back up, or go to Alberta where Smith wanted to help the drunks out.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 9 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

What the fuck? Since when are buying this shit from them?

“Hoekstra announced Canada will be receiving its first F-35s on Oct. 14 at the Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Ariz. — a massive F-35 training facility. It's the first time that date has been revealed publicly. Canada is contractually committed to buying at least 16 of the aircraft.”

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 8 points 20 hours ago

There was this whole thing several years back where the air force put out “bids” to the one company to update our fleet of jets. The order has been cut down to I believe only these 16 jets and than changed to substantially more griphens

This administration is full of bullies. We will not give in.
