I’m sure that’s what they’re telling shareholders.
No doubt the same shareholders who've 'diversified' and have some stake in componentry being prohibitively expensive too.
Fuck that, just play games that don't require a lot of power. Most of the better games made these days are indie games that can run on a potato anyhow and most of the graphically intensive games are shitty "AAA" titles that get released unfinished, run like garbage even on decent machines, and cost waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
Yeah I’m expecting a repeat of the video game crash of ‘83. I expect some of the behemoths of the industry to go belly up, but I expect smaller studios to survive, or even benefit from the bigger players dissolving.
And games have looked super good enough for like 10+ years. If the future of gaming on your own hardware is tiny arm based chips, we’ll be just fine. Even in the current hardware shortage, there are a ton of $200 handhelds that can play a ton of games.
I went and bought a DSi and 3DS and jailbroke them, and I've been very happy with them playing games like Hotel Dusk and Star Fox 64. I'll play vintage games on vintage hardware before I do cloud subscription gaming.

At least the merchantilists knew the world was finite.
They are all saying they colluded together to make dividends for investors. I wish any system worked for us plebes anymore jfc.
They can kiss my behind if they want to do that.
This is why I'd rather pirate or pay for indie games that are good in technical merit.
