In case the joke is not obvious: While in universe, this is technically "AI art" in the sense that Data (who is an artificial being) had painted it, in reality, that episode came out in 1993, so that prop was undoubtedly painted by a human.

Data is a unique android built by master android crafters; who designed him specifically to be humanlike. Data's makers were killed and Data was rescued by starfleet. HIs character arc throughout The Next Generation is him becoming more human while audience gets to examine human experiences through a different lens.

I think you may just be missing the joke in the word "Lore" there. Being capitalized like that is winking at Data's "brother" Lore.
You see, one is his brothers name, the other is not.

Also data is an artificial intelligence and sentience, not a stupid slop machine. So if this is technically AI art, then AI art doesn't exist in our reality.
