I'm alergic to the use of "Your" like this, and everyone seems to be doing it.

Being anti-AI is not needed, right? Local AI could be good.

The FOSS app Offline translator uses models created by Mozilla to provide offline translation.

I think the issue is not asking people, not being opt out by default and not adding it in ways that break current workflows.

Private LLM's may not be food, but the focus is then on who owns the AI.

Like, Why Socialism is needed. Because in private hands it'll be bad for privacy, public wellbeing n all

Noooo not Firefox tooo 😶

We need a better alternative than just chromium and gecko engines. Mozilla execs (not devs) are POS. And well chromium is chromium. Even ladybird has had a few controversies even before alpha release.

though it is another Firefox fork, I've recently switched over to zen browser and absolutely love it. I'd recommend others that don't want to use chromium but are put off by Mozilla's BS to take a look

Can be fully disabled anyway.

Would be nicer if I had a choice though, before it's enabled.

Waterfox has been nice. Not perfect but good enough. I have librefox now to and I think i like it more.

I don't think they're anti-AI either. At least they used LLM's extensively to port parts of the project to Rust. https://ladybird.org/posts/adopting-rust/

I don't mind LLM use unless it's vibe coded/poorly checked and it results in more bugs. I'm more worried about ai features getting baked into the browser.
