These ghouls only care about capitalism when they're the ones reaping rewards. When they aren't, it's "assault".

The real takeaway should be that the US can no longer compete in many markets.

Well we could but we voted in a demented rapist and his toadies who destroyed the whole fucking thing in eight months.

That's not how physics works. The US deindustrialized itself over the course of 50 years, not 8 months.

Yes, physics. You don't elect a president and suddenly all factories, supply chains, materials refining, logistics, infrastructure, and knowledge evaporate in 250 days.

I would have thought “Manufacturing” or maybe “Industry”, but I guess those are physical.

What was destroyed was a transition to renewables; what China’s auto industry is riding to enormous profits. What “our” car companies don’t want to make. What the administration killed incentives and budget for. The opposite of what they they promoted extensively, namely oil, gas, and coal.

What was destroyed was machining. The US produces less than 5% of the world's tools and machines for manufacturing. It used to be close to 30%. We hollowed out industry from the inside and now we basically do assembly.

There is no end to the amount of double think required within capitalism.

Hey look, it's those infinite returns they've been looking for!

Well to be fair, China's subsidies can be seen as assault on the rest of rhe worldwide automative industry.
