I bought this game twice. Once on PS3 and once on PC. It's quite a short game, and the RTS mechanics kind of come out of nowhere, but I think it's a lot of fun if for nothing else than the story and the comedy.

Nabbed it. Gonna have a good time

Whaddayaknow? Apparently I bought it in 2016 for less than $4, along with that Ghostbusters game. I should play it.

Fun game! It doesn't take itself seriously, voice acting and story are fun. Definitely recommend

Aw, I missed it 😕

I played the demo at Gamescom (must have been back in 2009) and was so blown away that I got myself an Xbox 360, even though I could barely afford it at the time and had always been a PC gamer with little interest in consoles. Maybe I should make a serious attempt at playing it once again, it's been in my Steam library for a while now.

How easy is this to install on steam deck?

[–] amlor@piefed.social 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Just tried itch version on void linux, and no, it's not that easy.

Itch "installs" a 7zip archive which you have to unpack yourself.

Then you have to provide 32bit libraries as its binary is 32 bit.

Then you have to set up pipewire or pulse or whatever to emulate alsa which the game requires (might work out of the box on some systems)

Steam version mitigates those issues by using their own runtimes it think. It should be possible running the itch version using a steam runtime though.

Sounds like choosing the Windows version and running that through Proton is easier.

Thank you for your advice.

Should run natively. The steam version does at least.

I'm aware. He was probably scared of losing a movie deal, but we don't know. He could be serious about distancing himself from political violence.

which is ultra non-metal
