This page demonstrates that a Thinkpad x140e can be flashed with coreboot. But the parent webpage states that chips that require firmware signing cannot do coreboot. So how is it that a 16h chip (thus PSP) is able to be flashed with coreboot?

I can only guess that the earliest PSPs were perhaps not yet nannies of what firmware may boot.
