You'd have to be mentally ill to be the richest man on the planet, have a trans kid, and still rate this as a top priority of your politics.

This is the group that famously used push polls against McCain having an illegitimate black love child. That had "Bush's brain" put anti-gay marriage initiatives in battleground states to turn out cons for voting against gay marriage, etc.

If you look at voting rates, it's not the GOP that decides elections, it's the Democrats. GOP almost always gets ~63m votes. Democrats range 63+/-5m.
That's why the both sides rhetoric steps up around election season. Republicans will vote consistently, and they win if a couple Democrats stay home.
