They don't know what either means
They don't know what it means, but they know they don't like whatever this is.
Regardless if they understand, they know they want something more progressive and fair. I think that's a good thing. It also means they are probably more open to learn about politics in general which is great.
You think Americans don't know what Capitalism means? We know better than Milton Goddamn Friedman did.
