We should teach trump a lesson called 'starve without potash'.

Fuck the US, go Canada. Source: US citizen.

It's funny how, as the circle of those who hold power in the US gets smaller, it is able to exert more of it in a new and horrible way. The narcissists in the white house being backed up by leading technological industries because that allows them to hold their oligopolies unchecked, it's never been this bad nor this short sighted.

The only lesson Canadians are learning is to never trust the US again.

This rich spoiled shit bag has spent his entire life feeling entitled to get anything he wants, often using any means at his disposal to get it. And now he decided he is entitled to getting full control over Canada's natural and human resources. He thinks that by inflicting pain on our people it will allow him to enslave the entire country. He doesn't give a crap about the suffering he is causing on either side of the border.

And the dumb thing is that it will obviously never work. Trump is treating the country like it was a business or a property he wants to acquire because he's too dumb to understand the difference. It doesn't work the same way at all. Look at Ukraine. What Canada is going through is nothing compared to what the Ukrainians have endured for years now and they're still not giving up. Canada will be the same. Canadians are increasingly hostile to the idea of making any concessions to the US now and they will go through any hardship that is necessary to avoid their country to be taken over because they know they're still better off that way. All of that pain and loss of productivity will amount to nothing good.

This is an unprovoked attack. When this pedophile finally leaves the White House one way or another and someone who isn't absolutely batshit insane takes over, I hope Canada will demand reparations for the damage that the most corrupt and incompetent person the US government has ever allowed to preside over the country has caused.

I am begging the entire world to turn its back on America. America is not an adult, it is a child that was raised on action movies. That child is a fucking brat and will betray you the second an opening to do so is available, even if there's no reason to.

America needs to be told no, and have its toys taken away until it behaves.

I say this as an American.

The only “lesson” we are taught so far is to actively boycott anything US-made or US-adjacent. Hopefully we will never again sign up for any sort of “trade deal” of the size of NAFTA/CUSMA either, choosing to partner with friendlier and more trustworthy nations. So - thanks, Donald - you strengthened our national unity and helped us become even more resilient and independent than we’ve ever been.

Gets cucked by China, Israel, can't pull out of Iran, bases destroyed, punches the nearest neighbour. Valuable lesson.

"Canada has taken advantage of us for so many years. The worst of any country," Trump said.

Someone should tell this moron that repeating something excessively does not make it true.

I saw a meme on facebook of Trump giving an anti-trans speech, and I knew it was bullshit. Not because Trump isn't anti-trans (he is, don't know happened to him to make him that way, he was one of the people against bathroom bans initially... Oh right mental decline and his base loving it when he shit talks transpeople happened.), but because it was coherent and well-written... for bigotry.

Joseph Goebbels: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I think you underestimate the idiocy of the American public....

[–] scrodumb@lemmy.ca 21 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

The only education the guy ever had was reading Mein Kampf.

This tracks.

[–] CapuccinoCoretto@lemmy.world 14 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Bold to think he can read.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 11 points 9 hours ago

I think he can read. Given how he talks though, it's at a very low grade level. One could say he's doing it to keep it where his base can understand the words, but that's giving him a lot of credit for being a closet mastermind (aka Phil Hartman's Reagan skit on SNL). I doubt it.

[–] tortina_original@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

That is how narcissists work.

"I love the Canadian people, but the leaders have taken advantage of our stupid leadership for many, many years. They felt emboldened. … They act like they're totally innocent. They're not. They were very bad. But now they're being taught a little lesson."

That’s rich coming from a frequent visitor of Epstein Island (though I suppose no lessons have been learned in his case).

[–] scrodumb@lemmy.ca 17 points 9 hours ago

Every accusation is an admission.

He's saying they aren't smart enough to sit at our table.

He's right.

[–] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 29 points 9 hours ago

I think this is roughly what he’d tell 13 year old girls after abusing them

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 9 points 7 hours ago

Can’t this child raping fuck just stroke out already. I can’t wait to never have to hear the name Trump again in my life. Fucking twatwaffle.

[–] BC_viper@lemmy.world 21 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Hope somone pisses down his slit throat.

[–] CapuccinoCoretto@lemmy.world 7 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

To fast and easy. A stroke with painful paralysis and an otherwise loooong life before he rots.

Seriously, his grave is going to need a LOT of security. It could singlehandedly revive American tourism. Come enjoy a dump on Trump! Eventually it will become a mountain of shit. They can carve his ugly face into mount Trumpnomore, a giant head and face made out of shit.

[–] emmanuel_car@fedia.io 2 points 2 hours ago

The problem is they will just weekend at Bernie’s him, like what they’re doing with Mitch.

[–] scrodumb@lemmy.ca 4 points 8 hours ago

Line was too long.

[–] mercano@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

The next president is going to need a decade to repair foreign relations. When they can’t do it in four years, voters are going swing against them.

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 19 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

More like 30 years.

You'll need a new generation or two for people to forget what a dumbfuck you elected not once but twice.

[–] iamthetot@piefed.ca 3 points 6 hours ago

Hear, hear.

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 4 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

They are not likely to try, they will just not be as loud as Trump. See Biden.

@radish6367

Boy, if Prime Minister Carney had stolen between 400 million to 1 billion dollars from the US Defense Budget to refurbish a jet meant to be his private plane after he left office - I would be outraged as an American. However, that is what Mr. Trump has done with a 747 jet he solicited or extorted from Qatar. PM Carney is right not to let a mobster shake Canada down. Keep giving the orange rapist squatting in our Whitehouse the elbow!

LOL that problem will fix itself when AO runs out of chips and someone asks why and the answer is that some random Canadian imported thing makes the chips go. A clear example is China with its rare earth including germanium, which are key ingredient in many industries related to electric power, computing and vehicles.

The world just needs to squeeze the balls hard enough. Hard enough to remember.
