I misread it as Myers. Immediately made me think of Mike Myers/Austin Powers in a horror movie. And honestly I'd be here for it.
Yes. They could've had some idiot write and direct this for a quick cash grab. It looks like it's written and directed by Mike Flanagan, who's brilliant. And he usually works on screenplays on his own and pitches them to studios. I imagine that's what happened here.
If anyone's in the horror film industry has earned the benefit of the doubt, it's Flanagan.
Still not thrilled to see more of a classic, but Mike Flannigan gives me hope.
I still maintain that his miniseries Midnight Mass is one of the best.
Remember the stairs? Yeah, you like the stairs, don’t you?
You stair-slut.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? let it die already. I saw the first when I was 6 and alone downstairs with the TV.. it was so traumatic I had to yell for mom to come turn off the TV because I was stuck. The rest of them have been one long insult to the original.
The third one is the only sequel that’s somewhat decent, and it’s more of a detective story with the occult thrown in.
It's written and directed by Mike Flanagan. He's brilliant.
