People got stupid.
When these ad platforms first started, people were told not to post when they are going on vacation, cause they gonna get robbed. That was the message back then. But, Zuckerberg appealed to the dragon and won, got it to do what he wants. Everybody post about everybody, because your breakfast is the most important meal that everyone should see.
Do not reveal any of your information on social media.
At best it will be used by antidemocracy corporations to lie to you and at worst it will be used by scammers and foreign agents to attempt to rob you with promises of payouts which don't exist.
If you use an account with a name and address it should be a fake name and fake address.
I reveal as little personal information about myself as I can on social media, but I think it's possible to have a reasonable balance so you're able to have conversations with people (everything you say gives away something).
The communities you're subscribed to or which posts you upvote or make comments on can give hints about your location, not just what you choose to say about yourself. For example, I'm comfortable giving away that I'm either European or live in Europe so I'll subscribe to European communities, but I won't join a national or regional community because I don't want to give away that information.
i mention my location all the time here but not exact and I lie. its like map directions. don't use your home. you know your local area well enough. use an address in the direction you want to go thats at about the point you need directions
