So this is a question I think about and tonight an episode aired and im likely practically for sure its my favorite scene of any trek. Granted most of my favorite trek scenes involve spock.

So im watching a tos episode and the away team can't contact the ship and the ship is drawn away from the planet. Now I recall this as sorta a common plot device in star trek. communication is not always blocked but basically the ship has to leave the away team on a plane to deal with something. Here is the thing. Why don't they ever launch a shuttle to stay at the planet. I mean maybe more than one. This is especially true come tng where the shuttles I think tend to have transporters. I mean feels like a no brainer to me.

Maybe this has been asked or answered before but im watching the tng episode where wesely takes the starfleet entrance exams and only one person gets it. Im thinking its per quadrant thing but it just seems so nuts that they take so few. Not to mention you would think two or three would be retakers. Was this ever explained?

There has been this thing where a user seems to be able to make special posts that don't follow my feed format including bluring nsfw when my setting says not to but also making them pop out over the rest. I very much am big on user control of their experience. Is this something that actually happens. Can it be blocked or overwritten or something? Only thing I can think to do is block users who do whatever causes it.

Sorta due diligence on reaching out. Got a possible refererral but us and chances they take the insurance is low (im from the us). Been an effort over months to go see the doc but the thing im worried about is depression but maybe also other things because of family history and such. got to work on looking into the referal but also tax time. I have heard people talk about tagging people instead of blocking them and I did not think much about it. So I have been seeing tos reruns and im just boggled by the skirts. Its like anime fan service as you get glimpses of starfleet standard issue panties. Im sitting here thinking. How did I not notice how short they were as a young boy growing up. Like I knew you saw a lot of leg and they were short but feels like wow seeing it now. My best guess is given broadcast resolution back in the day and having a tv under 20 inches and the fuzzyness of analogue rabit ears. Maybe it was not so noticable. Now im seeing it though on HD broadcast to a 90 inch screen and its like. yowzaa!! Seriously its like a live action anime.

So I have been curious about the wealth gap between just the two richest folks because it feels to me like the differences are expanding all over even at the extremes. I did this with gemini to so take it with as much a grain of salt as you might like but its a relatively straight forward if tedius task so Im relatively confident it can do it right. Anyway I expected a long term increase over the millenia but instead I see an interesting artificat with today and the dot com bubble. Whats really scary is gates could be seen as a central figure in the bubble and tech to some degree but musk isn't exactly at the center of ai as much as the center of both corporate and government corruption but maybe someone will have another take on that. So the dot com bubble was merely corporate collapse but if this is indicative of a collapse I do believe it will be along more lines.

Im thinking about in all the ways even streaming now. Im thinking before streaming the stooges would be a good contender. Was shown in movied theaters and had reruns going all the time on so many different channels. Its a wonder life used to be spammed in november and december before the ip was taken back out of public domain.

EDITING. Im thinking more about the same thing being rebroadcast I think which is why I was thinking its a wonderful life to. So like there are only so many stooges and they get replayed a lot as opposed to like the simpsons or doctor who running for a whole bunch of seasons.

Im looking for ways to increase my use of the terminal and so I want to have one around all the time without having to switch tabs. I have seen tiling window managers but I kinda don't want to lose like windows snapping and such. Is there any way to attack a window to the taskbar in kde so that other programs won't overlap it? I basically would like to have like 3 lines of a terminal across the bottom just above the start bar.

I know people are going to hate where I first found this but at least its this guys blog. I actually know the guy and saw it on linkendin and he does exist. Heck you can look at his stuff on the evl website. Its rather verbose and academic in language but I appreciate his callouts.
