MODERATORS

The Ontario government is considering new laws that would give police greater powers to break up protests, issue fines, demand identification, and potentially arrest people who refuse to identify themselves.

If you are against this, AND YOU SHOULD BE, you have 2 days left to comment.

We have an old tradition of red tape reduction dating back to the Thatcher mind virus. Ontario has been ravaged once in the 90s by Ford's idol - Mike Harris.

Yep, wait until the Ford era tofu dreg condos start collapsing.

What the fuck, this can't possibly be legal under the Charter.

Don't worry, there's this awesome loophole that allows him to do whatever the fuck he wants called the notwithstanding clause.

So, how many people are we, and how many cops are there?

If shit happens, remember, we are many.
They sleep, too.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Toronto cops. They're too busy committing crimes themselves or sleeping in parking lots to do anything about this.

The notwithstanding clause does have limitations, but I don't know if that's relevant in this case.

Let's make uneducated corrupt fat fucks illegal.

Where's the ~~Epstein files~~ RCMP investigation?

If this goes through, here is an idea for a demonstration. Everyone put on masks and line up in front of the police station with hands ziptied. The local police then have to book everyone but the line just keeps growing.

If protesting is illegal, then a lethal response to police violence might as well be on the table. Why go to jail for anything less than mass murder of asshole police officers? It might distract from the original point of the protest, though.
