Hello fellow Calvin and Hobbes fans!

About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

Calvin and Hobbes is a daily American comic strip created by cartoonist Bill Watterson that was syndicated from November 18, 1985, to December 31, 1995. Commonly cited as "the last great newspaper comic",[2][3][4] Calvin and Hobbes has enjoyed broad and enduring popularity, influence, and academic and philosophical interest… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvin_and_Hobbes

If Hobbes is with him at the bus stop, does he go to school with him, or does someone collect Hobbes from the stop after Calvin leaves?

There are a few comics in which this is addressed.

I recall one that shows the lonely Hobbes doll left out in the rain on the corner, and Mom rushing out to grab him before he is completely soaked.

He absolutely waits with Calvin and then is left behind. I assume Mom retrieves Hobbes daily.

EDIT: Found it.

They were always portrayed as very good (if annoying to Calvin) parents. Flawed like anyone, but generally good and kind.

Dad and his endless quest to reduce how much gas he used and to try to ride his bike more often were always qualities I saw as positive anyway.

Oh man. I don't remember seeing that one before. At least he was under the umbrella. More evidence that Hobbes might have belonged to Mom before Calvin. Although it could also just be that she knows how important Hobbes is to Calvin.

I thought Calvin said Mormon instead of moron, and I guess that fits too.
