This article has such a negative tone for Valve coming in and continuing to fix pain points in a feature/service in a complex ecosystem.

Not really hating on valve as they have done an enormous amount of good for pc gaming but yeah, it is deeply frustrating how slowly they roll out fixes. For a ~$700,000,000 a year company they are incredibly slow at publishing fixes and necessary updates to just their core software. It's all kinds of ridiculous that with a budget like that they are still lagging behind open source projects like moonlight/sunshine.
Yeah, cause they don’t QA the shit and break it.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Remote Play seems to be a constant problem for Valve to fix up on Steam / Steam Deck, as there's always something broken with it and the latest Steam Client Beta fixes it up again.
It was only back at the end of February that Valve patched the infinite loading screen specifically on Steam Deck, which they pushed out broken after the recent stable update and here we are again.
For both Desktop and Steam Deck there's another new Beta available that has these fixes:
Fixed missing audio while streaming.
Fixed continually being prompted for the PIN when pairing a device.
For such an incredibly useful feature, it sure is broken a lot isn't it.
