I don't know if the advice I'm about to give is good, but I did have my RM2 refusing to start after a drained battery which I managed to recover by leaving it overnight connected to a higher-amp charger.

I own a Remarkable 1 and 2, but I switched to a Supernote after Remarkable locked the existing features behind a subscription.
The Supernote A5X has been a great alternative and I haven't looked back. Also, they don't require a subscription! Also, the nibs never need replacing.
Yes, the screens feel different, but you learn to like it. I actually prefer the Supernote writing feel now.
Follow-up replaced battery and it works now.
