Pretty amazing how far north skinks live, I had no idea. Very impressive for a warm blooded animal to be able to adapt to such a cold climate.

Yeah! Especially for such a teeny guy. These ones are in cozy coastal California though, enjoying a sun warmed pot of loose garden soil full of tasty little pincher bugs.

Do they hibernate in the winter?

edit oh fascinating they hibernate in communal dens, using the age old strategy of snuggling with frens to stay warm.
