"Going to?"
One of the reasons I came to Lemmy was because I was tired of their rhetoric. It became very sexist and racist. Not to mention is almost all bots just posting and replying to each other. Reddit was turning into cesspool ages ago.
Had a friend in high school who was an out lesbian, very independent. Was the first person I knew married at, like, 24 or so to some guy she met online.
Had a terrible bully who got bone cancer. She still alive, but she calmed down considerably. I remember they were asking people at school to get blood tested as they were having difficulty finding a marrow match, and most of us were like "👀."
It was great!
I could get rid of a lot of "extra" cords. I can just keep one usb c and charge my phone, my mouse, and headphones with one cord. Shoot, I can even charge my controllers now too. I like that they're becoming like outlets. Like, this is just how you get power to the device(S). Without searching for the "right" cord all the time.

We aren't going to be okay. Stop saying it's going to be okay. Project 25 is not okay, turning Gaza into a crater is not okay, banning abortion is not okay, cutting Medicare is not okay. None of this shit is okay. Stop trying to sit and act like being cordial is going to make the right go, "Well, they're being so nice about it." We fucked up, and we need to face the consequences.
Remote claim work. Glorified customer service. It is busy and people burn out in a few months.
How the fuck can they say it was better 4 years ago. Do they mean right before Covid hit? Right before people lost their jobs and the dumbass politicized an illness? Right before people couldn't get baby formula? Right before people started fighting for fucking toilet paper? Before people started dying?
Dumb, dumb motherfuckers. You won't be at the table, you're going to be on the table, a table you built, and torn apart with knives you sharpened. You dumb fucks.
Wanna work in insurance?
Sometimes life's a bitch and you keep on living.
WHY
Why do we have to be the bigger people and accept this bullshit? THIS ISN'T WORKING.
It was really hard seeing the all the Trump signs, but I truly believed we wouldn't make the same mistake twice.
I'd be impressed if it wasn't so devastating. I don't even know how to look at my fellow countrymen without wanting to ask them , "Did you do this?" I feel so... Dejected.
