He's got enough problems

Huh, maybe I should give it another try then. A couple of months ago, I was getting nasty graphical glitches pretty frequently under Wayland. I've heard the upcoming 545 driver fixes a bunch of Wayland compatibility stuff, too, so maybe it's time to try it again.

I find day-to-day desktop use easier with a better workflow in Linux, personally, but yeah, while there are plenty of games that run without any tweaking, there are some that will take extra time and effort to get running. Windows is def easier for gaming, especially if you're not familiar with Linux. There is a learning curve, for sure.

Honestly, if you use Proton-GE's FSR feature for games that don't offer built-in FSR/DLSS + GameMode, you can def beat Windows performance in some Windows-only games. I know it's kinda cheating, but it does net you higher FPS on the same graphics settings.

Hell, Wayland itself is broken for me on Nvidia. lol

You gotta run it under the tap for a minute first, to help loosen it up.

I'm seriously considering going AMD for my GPU. I will sorely miss DLSS and good raytracing performance, but Nvidia driver support on Linux (and honestly even on Windows sometimes) is just terrible.

DraStic is amazing on midrange devices. Compatibility is excellent in my experience, there's a lot of UI customization available, and there are some nice filter and scaling options built-in. It also has full controller support.

I get the impression that many Gen Zers like to know where everyone is all the time. It's totally normal for them to have each other's GPS locations. Snapchat has a built-in map feature where you can watch your friends move around in real time, and there are other apps that offer this, too. I was blown away when I learned this was so commonly used and people just leave it on, so their social group just knows precisely where they are all the time.

What would we do with this information?

This is a very prudent question. Like, if we could somehow prove that we existed in a simulation, that would be an earth-shattering discovery about our origins... but then what?

What would we do? Some people would probably go nuts living with that information and certain philosophies/religions would have to reckon with that, but there isn't anything we could do differently, and it wouldn't alter our lived experience in any way, aside from maybe coloring it in a new light.

Not to say that seeking answers for the pursuit of knowledge itself isn't worthwhile, but... yeah, what would it even matter to most of us outside of academia/philosophy?

Came here to say this. IMO, the 8bitdo controllers are the best out there.
