Maybe not cancel in an official capacity, but he could still stop them. He didn't use official channels to try to stop Joe Biden from becoming president in 2021, he just had his followers use the front door instead.

But I do disagree with you. If you know your broad human history, you should know that there's nothing that indicates that we're guaranteed a solution. You seem to not realize that there very well may not be a good solution at all. You have to be more realistic.

Oil has a high flash point. You can throw a lit flare in an oil drum and it will take a surprising amount of time for the oil around it to heat up enough to ignite.
He is absolutely in a position to change this. It's become abundantly clear that we're way too culturally fractured as a nation and will never unify for any single cause.
