With all the wildfire smoke in the air, I'm actually sorta interested in these now. I wonder if you can get em cheap.

I had a friend that was so into Blood even before it was released that he toured the development studio. Pretty neat to see it here. I have memories of it being a pretty neat deathmatch game for my clique of friends. I think we got at least 4 of us playing at once. But I don't remember much of it. Maybe I'll give it another go. I replayed Duke Nukem 3D recently with the developer commentary and that was pretty fun.

A Thai restaurant I go to has this amazing matsaman curry dish with jasmine rice. Just an unbelievable taste that I order on many special occasions like my birthday.

Another amazing dish actually came from Hello Fresh. It's a bibimbap style rice bowl made with beyond meat and the flavour profile just hits everything I love. Nice and salty but also nice and spicy. I could eat this all day every day. It was one of the recipes offered the first week we tried Hello Fresh and I thought their recipes must be amazing, but nothing else ever compared to this.

Look, in today's world the entire banking sector relies on private communications to operate using the Internet. Why can't private citizens get the same?

The American ambassador to Canada is a grade F bullshitter and having him be the ambassador is yet another insult to Canada by the US government. There are many examples of his bullshit from when he was the ambassador to the Netherlands.

Yeah, I got taken in like this for a while.

I grew up religious and one time prayed for a friend who was going to go though a couple of surgeries and would have to eat through a straw for a few months. I prayed that I could take some of the pain for him if needed. Turned out that I had a small accident and got my first stitches the next day and my friend was able to avoid additional months of recovery because the surgeon was able to do both operations at once. I took that as a sign that my prayer had worked and believed more strongly in God. For a while until I realized that coincidences can happen and that believing in God is pretty stupid.
