Legitimate reason as in "a man is in the range of visibility"?

I don't think so.

Having less children means having worse ratio of elderly to young people, which strains social security and may ultimately force seniors to work until they die, while young generation will see an ever greater burden of disabled elderly.

Unless you want to shoot people after certain age, that is. But, happily, this is a tradeoff unlikely to be accepted.

Cyberpunk is more about finding something normal among a clear dystopia rather than finding dystopia among normality :D

But it is immersive and emotional indeed.

I'm not quite onboard with your "punishing men" rhetoric later in the thread, but here I agree

Like, how many attempts are now undertaken to pitch men and women against one another or otherwise separate them, and how far can this rabbit hole go?

Men are growing wary of women - and everyone's cheering as MGTOW raises heads again. Women are getting increasingly defensive - and breed fear and loathing, as crowds cheer again. Both play off each other to show how much the other side sucks.

One is only seen as friendly if they support this division; anyone trying to bridge it is seen as a bad actor.

Stop it. Fuck 4B. Fuck MGTOW. Fuck that conservative dude who thinks they have a right for a woman's body. Fuck those who put all men into sexual offenders category. Let common sense, love, and responsibility to each other prevail. Go outside and protest gerontocrats trying to take women's right for their own body. Allow and encourage men to stand alongside and be part of the fight against forces many of them didn't choose. Never put all people in one basket, and fight your true enemy.

Sure, but effective enough to make a drastic change to fertility rate.

Still, I see where you're going with it

I see. Think it's an overkill and people can use contraception instead of going full separate, but there is kind of a point in there

Interesting, never heard of it! Thanks

Having read them all at some time in the past, I feel like, while they capture a lot of modern problems and are scaringly accurate in many of the predictions they make, they still don't create this "everyday" feeling.

Brave New World is probably closest to capturing what I'm looking for, even though it too opens immediately with a dystopian picture.

The thing is, it would be interesting to explore, in any form of art really, this progression from feeling completely normal about what happens to figuring out what everything actually means, which could lead to people questioning and investigating things in real life.

Thanks, will look into it!

It is likely to be similar or somewhat lower price, give or take, but it will take you some effort and time to make (think at least 2 hours for a regular single-stage yeast bread, longer for sourdough)

If you want to save on your groceries, this probably isn't the optimal way unless bread is heavily overpriced in your area.

Also, mixing in proteins might necessitate changes in recipe/process depending on what you add - just a heads up if you're gonna do it anyway :)

So, creating a massive headache for government ~15-20 years into the future?

Or what is the point?
