I always point out that the capitalist robber barons profit directly from having a pre-born, pre-literate workforce pool, they just want it for free.

Part of their whole socialism for costs capitalism for profits thing.

I say this as a now old person at 40, that's hypocritical bullshit as far as policy goes, but that's humans for you.

The DNC and the top of the party would MUCH rather lose to the Fascists across the aisle they have a corpo bribe sharing agreement with than win with a candidate that campaigns on bringing accountability to those wealthy bribers.

Or to put it another way, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer would lock arms with Republicans and treat President AOC, for example, the way most Democrat voters wish they were treating Trump. Scorched earth, not a single meeting, not a single appointment, just bill after bill trying to strip all Presidential power until a hypercapitalist sits in the chair again.

Neoliberals are much closer to Republicans than they are to anything resembling a leftwing, politically. The only thing that separates them is not actively pointing and laughing at you when they hurt you to line their pockets, they just shrug, call it market forces, and hand you an affirmation ribbon you can neither eat nor live inside.

Which is why this nation is beyond repair and we need to force collapse and start over, with a constitution barring capital markets and any profit sharing that isn't tied to working/laboring for what's being profited from. Speculative investment is cancer that breeds sociopathy, division, and death ☠️. No neoliberal or fascist is against the for profit deathcare confidence scheme we call American healthcare for all but the wealthy. They're both paid to defend it from us.

Spent 10 years driving around in a city with a lot of retirement communities setting up home medical equipment. Was a daily blight for me.

Should be every 2 years past age 60 if you want to keep your license.

Sorry, for every 20 year old doing 90, there's ten seniors wobbling between 2 lanes in a giant SUV intentionally purchased to protect them from the accidents their diminished capacity will cause, about to do a double lane change in the opposite direction of their blinker that's been on since they left their driveway.

Ive always found it bonkers that young drivers with the sharpest reflexes are punished to the maximum from insurance to rental car rates, as they should, while no one dares punitive action against people who literally lack the faculties to drive safely if they wanted to and incur the wrath of AARP and the like. But those necrotic seniors make the rules, sadly. They can cause accidents with abandon, but some thing's gotta be done about those young maniacs on the road driving 10 over the speed Limit as you drive 30 under it with white, arthritic knuckles on the steering wheel for dear life, calling your impromptu roadblock "safe."

I agree, but I don't think there'll be another real election here for a long time if ever, and I'd rather vote for her than another hypercapitalist enslaver with pride ribbons(D) to stop hypercapitalist enslaver with scapegoats(R) yet again as I've done my entire life in our descent to oblivion. There's not really rational hope either way. The capitalists won and have us by the balls in every way, including tens of millions of deluded minds that have learned to love and defend the Massas and their "free market" directly against their own interests.

Climate change is going to end planetary scale civilization in 50 years max, probably 20-30. It's blowing past all projections because we were conservative and both couldn't and didn't want to consider the runaway effects. I honestly think Kamala was my last pragmatic funeral dirge vote. Give me something to vote for and I'll show up. I haven't had a federal level candidate to vote for in a general in my entire life though. I doubt AOC will become the first after the DNC uses every lever to end any primary run.

Murkowski openly admitted that she and her Republican colleagues were “all afraid” of “retaliation” from Trump, as she criticized his policies.

Ah yes the "family values" party here to yet again "save the children" from librul strangeness.

Imagine mourning and having concern specifically for the very metastatic cancer that's killing you.

Millions of Americans across the country are on alert for a severe weather outbreak with violent, long-track tornadoes with damaging winds of up to 80 mph and large hail.

Turns out, when the elite of society works against their own people to enrich themselves, the (rational) people realize they owe you neither trust or allegiance. Can't have it both ways.

Nothing wrong with a little competition, amirite?

Sociopath greedy fucks fucked by their own sociopathic greed pushing tech explicitly hyped to cause mass unemployment. You first, finance bros! Welcome to the "capitalist efficiency" games you were so fond of running 🤣

Turns out you made a career out of felating oligarch dick, expecting romance, but they'd rather keep your class traitor salary and kick you to the curb. Guess you chose to keep poor company.

In light of Vivek's comments that Americans don't pursue excellence, pursue excellence at reducing GDP through workplace laziness and negligence(that causes loss, not injury), anticonsumerism, and reminding others that products/services used to be better so why bother buying them new now?

"won't that effect my quality of life?"

They've been steadily reducing your quality of life, forcing 2 incomes for survival, and are literally conning and murdering you through health insurance and food safety abandonment.

Make Greed Contemptible Again.

Or they'll blame you for roping them into this exploitative shitshow with a side of climate apocalypse, and they'll be correct.

And no, the 6.134258 shares of Apple in your 401K don't make you an owner, lol.

All I've been able to find are cherry picked words and sentences the police tell the press in both's attempts to spin it for their narratives.

Is it foolish to hope the public will get to read it in its relative entirety (a word or a name redacted is understandable, not entire paragraphs) in less than years or decades?

Legal process is a blindspot for me, I don't know what they're able to have as evidence that they can also keep from the public eye if they wish.

Guess the profiteers better stop making tools of violent death to wage oil wars and sell to world governments then... Oh but that would tank our beloved economy! 😱

SEOUL, Dec 4 (Reuters) - South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said on Wednesday he would move to lift a martial law declaration he had imposed just hours before, honoring a parliamentary vote against the measure. Yoon declared martial law on Tuesday to thwart "anti-state forces" among his opponents. But outraged lawmakers rejected the decree, as protesters gathered outside parliament in the country's biggest political crisis in decades. Yoon's surprise declaration, which he cast as aimed at his political foes, was unanimously voted down by 190 lawmakers in the parliament. Under South Korean law, the president must immediately lift martial law if parliament demands it by a majority vote. His own party urged him to lift the decree. The crisis in a country that has been a democracy since the 1980s, and is a U.S. ally and major Asian economy, caused international alarm.
