They have a news side and an entertainment side to their business. The primetime Nazi shows are all on the entertainment side so when they get sued they just say "we're not news, we're entertainment we don't need to adhere to reality! It's actually your fault for believing us!" Their polling comes from the other side.

I don't think they are concerned about it in the slightest as far as it making them consider changing anything for the positive, they're utilizing it as a way to brainwash the base into believing that America is full of traitors so they're much more accepting of the increase in political persecution they're going to push towards.

"We're totally against DEI hires, we demand that MERIT determine who gets chosen for a position. That's why it is my great pleasure to announce Barron Trump will be Hesgeths replacement at the Department of War."

"we're experts, we studied administrations where the government was comprised of people that gave at least 1/3 of a fuck what the population thought so naturally my opinion can be applied to an administration that gives absolutely no fucks whatsoever about the population."

It became "my thing" around when I turned 19. I had previously been exposed to a bunch of conspiracy theories that I never really bought into by a friend and in trying to learn more about it all I ended up following politics more, eventually learning my way out of the conspiracy land and instead watching the decline of the US for myself instead of having some internet weirdos say it's the Jews or the annunaki...

It's unfortunately more of a sick addiction now, I feel like I need to follow what is happening even though it just makes me extraordinarily depressed, seeing how no matter what we as a population will always be lead to make the wrong decisions and how there are so many people that revel in hatred and inflicting pain on "others."

The more I learned about politics the stronger my support became for my candidate:

I sing songs to my cat, usually remixes involving "my wittle kitty" or "monkey monkey cat."

I'm a "grown" man almost 40 I swear. Lol

America the land of repressed ideology. Fascist Nazis have to pretend to be wholesome conservatives and communists need to pretend to be free market liberals lol

I'm honestly not sure it matters to MAGA. Trump was critical in teaching Republicans a lesson: be ruthless and nasty, the base LOVES it. They love Trump because he's unabashedly horrible to anyone and everyone and he allows them to be hateful too. As long as Vance or anyone seeking the (soon to be literal) throne follows that lesson then the base will follow them.

I rarely eat breakfast, but if I feel like getting a treat on my morning break at work there's nothing better than a toasted everything bagel with sliced onion, tomato, and cream cheese.... Well, lox could make it better, but I'm not getting a $15 bagel lol

It's sooooo damn goooood...

Countdown to "we investigated and found it was a fake Antifa made AI image. We're making not being Republican illegal now."

I'll make it even better! Chocolate, peanut butter, and a sprinkle of salt

US media company Paramount Global has agreed to pay $16 million (£13.5m) to settle a legal dispute with US President Donald Trump regarding an interview it broadcast on CBS with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

As usual corporations looking for special treatment, hoping to have their merger accepted, refuse to fight the fascist...

I wish someone would sue Fox for fucks sake..

91°F (32.7°C) in the factory I work at.

The law states "all factories must maintain a reasonable temperature and humidity."

Nowhere is reasonable ever defined. I am mildly infuriated. And very hot lol

Edit: 94° (34.4C) now and this post has made it close to the top of "Hot"... The gods are having a laugh lol

Hey Lemmy! Time to do some digging!

I was sent a link from a friend about some Totally Cool™ guy who has close ties to JD Vance: Curtis Yarvin. Anyone aware of this guy and his desires? I won't put the link in here as my last post was removed because of it, but a comment within the thread is copied below.

Apparently Japanese media covered the story as was posted to Reddit, but there doesn't seem to be too much talk of this in the US.

From a comment in the reddit discussion: “Curtis Yarvin is a far-right ‘intellectual’ that wants to end democracy and install what I can only really describe as cyberpunk feudalism. He’s suggested turning the United States into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms ruled with absolute impunity by CEOs, as well as putting mandatory ankle monitors on all unemployed and poor people. This sounds like a joke, but I’m serious. JD Vance is not just a fan of him intellectually, but also a personal friend. As someone who has known about Yarvin for several years, it’s been really concerning seeing how he could potentially become a Rasputin-like figure in the event of a Trump victory. Beyond this, Yarvin has also spent many years advocating for what sounds eerily like Project 2025.”

For those familiar with Star Citizen lore, he apparently wants to turn the US into the Stanton system “lol” …
