I got myself a Sennheiser Momentum 4 SE (just an Amazon limited Copper color) for 39,800 yen (~266 USD) along with eppfun AK3040PLUS for 2,399 yen (~ 16 USD).
Maybe not a steal but still a good deal and a huge upgrade from Pixel Buds A-Series in the wireless domain.
Dongle works great for PC/PS5/Switch along with iPad and Pixel 8 Pro when I fancy better codecs (aptX Adaptive support is still not great across devices but is a must for gaming; aptX HD/AAC/SBC latency is terrible).
Overall very satisfied with the purchase, they sound great.
The only drawback is you can't disable ANC completely so I'm stuck with either ANC or Transparency mode - I hope they add a way to disable it completely in future updates...
In the wired domain I already own HiFiMan HE-500 which I love the sound profile of and OPPO PM-3 for more portable use cases.
I drive them from AUDIOTRAK DR.DAC3 connected via SPDIF with FX-AUDIO- FX-D03J+ GAME edition.
I'm kind of addicted to my HE-500's and can't find anything that would match or beat them to my liking. I would appreciate something lighter and with better connectors - any suggestions?
