No they aren't. They have similar wealth to other Caribbean nations, being richer than places like Jamaica and Haiti but poorer than Trinidad or the Dominican Republic. In global terms they rank 83rd, so above average, and they have a relatively high development index, I.e. pretty good health care and education. They might seem poor to you, but they're actually richer than most of world.

I'm so glad I went back and finished it recently. The MQ story is really good. I put on a mod to make magicka regenerate like in later games and played a straight mage, eventually crafting rings to be able to jump around town super fast and another to cross the continent.

Goldeneye just isn't a very good game. It was one of the best fps games on the N64 so if all you've got is an N64 you're going to think it's amazing. But other games have done much better what it tried to do so today it feels clunky and bad. Contrast to something like Doom which still holds up today because that style of gameplay hasn't been massively improved on.

EVs are still much cheaper to run than ICEs though. Yes the battery is an expensive replacement but maintenance is still much cheaper because they don't have gearboxes, clutches, turbo chargers, catalytic converters, particulate filters, spark plugs, engine oil, timing belts, head gaskets, cylinders, exhausts, etc. etc.

Imagine if we had national bodies developing drugs to treat health problems rather than private companies developing drugs to make as much money as possible.

You should always signal to exit a roundabout after you pass the exit before the one you want to take. If you want to take the first exit, signal before you enter the roundabout. If you want to take the second exit, signal after you pass the first exit etc.

If you're taking an exit more than 180 degrees around the circle from the entrance, you should signal the other direction to show that you are staying on the roundabout and then signal to leave after you pass the exit before the one you want. E.g. if you're in a country where you drive on the right and the roundabout is on a traditional crossroad '+' and you want to take the third (left) or fourth (u turn) exit then you should indicate left to start with and then indicate right to exit.

Note that this is what you should do. You will see drivers not signalling correctly in any country with roundabouts. The most common error is probably not indicating at all when going straight.

Yes, that's what hybrids are, a hybrid between an electric and combustion engine car, I.e. they have both.

The conflict is a pr

I'm interested in improving my German through games, but I often struggle to commit to playing games in another language because I don't want to miss out on things like story and dialogue. So I'd be interested in any suggestions for games which I can enjoy playing in another language.

So far my best success is Civilization 6. It ticks a lot of boxes because there is no story other than what you make. I've played it before in English, so I alreadly broadly know what things do, but it's complicated enough that I still need to read and understand things. There is spoken audio and a lot to read, so I feel like I am always encountering new vocabulary. It is turn based, so there is always unlimited time to read and translate - Google Lens is a lifesaver here, because there are a lot of rules to understand, and sometimes I get the meaning completely wrong when I read it, but then I can check the translation.

And since the school is in the middle of a residential neighborhood, there’s not really any other use of the sidewalks either…

As a European, this statement sounds completely insane. I honestly can not comprehend how a nation got to the point of saying "we don't need to be able to walk somewhere from our house so lets not bother building sidewalks".

You and your daughter should cycle to school though. If she's not old enough to go on her own bike, take her with a trailer bike. If she's too young for that then a child seat, and when she's old enough she can cycle on her own.

The idea of using a car to go 900m is just crazy to us.
