Unlucky decision, but it is pretty obvious what happened here. Hooper plays advantage initially, sees that the advantage isn't a strong one because Haaland is heading backwards and is off balance so he blows it just as the ball is being hoofed downfield into a 1 on 4. Unfortunately for him Haaland's ball is remarkable and it springs Grealish. Ultimately it is a split second decision and Hooper is unlucky in that he looks foolish here, but stopping the advantage is probably correct 9 times out of 10 given the City players' positions. He also can't really afford to wait for the result of the ball that Haaland plays because at that point it will have been too late to bring it back. One of those that looks far more dubious than it is. It is a fast paced game and refereeing is hard.
