There are a lot of permutations where they win. I think they were the better team. Probably win 65% of runouts. Didn't happen, so life goes on.
No point really dealing in hypotheticals after the fact.
Somehow r/nba will still say he's overrated.
Complete player. Max him.
Every team in the league is 1 major injury away from mediocrity.
It looks like all the haters were 100% right about him. He tricked me. There were some flashes of brilliance in his early GSW runs, but the guy just can't seem to figure out the NBA game. Might be one of the least effective players on a roster right now.
Makes Curry's 2020-2021 season that much more impressive since he managed to drag a Wiseman/Oubre/Wanamaker team to a winning record. This man started 27/39 games for the Warriors as a rookie.
He was good down the stretch in 20-21. That was his actual breakout.
He went from G Leaguer to suddenly scoring a lot in the NBA, and it helped the Warriors get the 8th seed play-in spot. Backed it up with another solid season in 21-22. That's why he got the bag.
Unfortunately, his weaknesses have been amplified since then and his strengths haven't been enough to compensate.
They are only the best players in the world if Mbappe is on another planet.
A bold take that will see you eating a lot of downvotes. I see where you're coming from. He's probably the most overrated player of the consensus top 10 guys, but it's also hard to evaluate him outside the context of his era. The game was almost a different sport at the time.
There were actually only 8 teams for some of his rings IIRC.
It feels dirty disrespecting Russell because he's such a great and important figure for the league. It feels like attacking your own grandpa, but realistically he's not a top 5-10 player.
He's the Jesse Owens of basketball. Important for his historic value, but has been eclipsed by modern greats.
Sample size is smaller than Mugsy Bogues.
