What fire hazard? All bedding made in most parts of the world made in the last 50 years or so are made of very fire-retardant materials. It's actually really hard to set a bed on fire these days.

It's not so much the fact that they defederated that's noteworthy here, it's the fact that the admin chose to do so based on a misunderstanding and refusal to admit that they were wrong about something which is concerning.

Yeah, not really a huge fan of Ada after this. All this because somebody got confused and refuses to say they misunderstood and move on.

Sorry to the rest of the blahaj community that's going down with the ship on this one.

Yeah, it's disappointing because it looks really nice, otherwise!

Unfortunately, anything besides D6 seems to be locked behind its own individual IAP. I can't even buy one because it opens on my phone for some reason, and the app isn't compatible with phones and won't let me actually complete a purchase, so I don't even know how much they're charging for each die.

That's actually a little scummy, because the Play Store doesn't even list this as having IAPs at all. Probably because it's not a phone-compatible app, so it doesn't seem to register as having IAPs on the mobile or web view of the app's page. It feels a little misleading, considering the description says:

This powerful app brings the excitement of rolling different types of dice, including the D4, D6, D8, D12, D20, and even the D100, right to your wrist.

it's amazing what you see when algorithms aren't deciding it for you.

He wasn't searching for it or knowingly distributing it. The way Tor exit nodes work is that you're hosting a machine that lets other people on the Tor network communicate with the internet. You're essentially routing a portion of the entire network's traffic through your machine. You can't really control who is using it or what it transmits at that point.

He got punished because somebody else shared CP, using his equipment to do so. It's like being jailed for having your car stolen and being used to hit a pedestrian.

Ah yes, an X for the company known for their ✓. I'm sure that won't be confusing at any point.

I mean, how much data do they really have to store, though? They only need to store one copy of the actual game. The save files shouldn't be unmanageable.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they can even let it expire by simple deciding to no longer support it.

That's one thing, and that's an acceptable risk everyone takes when buying from an online storefront, IMO. Eventually, they're going to stop supporting that, and we all kind of accept and agree to that. But this is them cutting off your access because you haven't played recently. They're not dropping support for the games in question, so this feels a bit unwarranted. What does it actually cost them to store your game license and save file? Is that cost really offset by the price of the games, themselves?

And what do you think will happen if their license servers ever go offline?

If Google Stadia is to be considered precedent, they refunded every purchased game and DLC when they shut down their service earlier this year. I should hope that a similar offering is made from other storefronts should they ever decide to cease operations.

I agree, this is such a dangerously stupid move by Ubisoft.

I can only hope that this is just a mistake with an intern on their social account misinterpreting the ToS and that this isn't something Ubi plans to enforce. But damn, is it a bad look for them. Which is a shame, because they've been doing some decent work at improving their image as of late, too.

Yup, that's another feature I get extensive use out of, too. I'll sometimes queue up some music from my phone to play on my Nest speakers, and switch tracks from my watch. It's just not as seamless of a process on YTM as it is on Spotify, unfortunately. Which is a shame, because Google could really be a serious contender in the music streaming space if they just invested a bit into the product.
