Not really, though. If they're ordered to turn over IPs, they'll turn over IPs. Whether those are legit or VPN IPs is another story, but the burden placed on the instance admin doesn't really change much.

Weird, Netflix used to compete with piracy so well that many people stopped pirating altogether, by offering a more convenient service at a reasonable price that was hard for even the most stubborn of pirates to refuse and resulted in a massive boom for its own industry.
