You summarized it all

I support you this hundred percent by personal experience. Obviously for style and all enthusiasts Automatic has its charm but it comes to utility it is of no use. I once ask a person wearing a Timex military version and he said it doesn’t have date. Just imagine a military watch that is more than 100 dollars not having date. And there is a long line of watches that are very expensive and couldn’t tell you date or day. So for practical use solar win win. Rest obviously where style comes everything is possible

I am new to watch collection but my experience with Seiko automatic was very bad and Quartz has battery issue. In all this i concluded solar specifically Casio Tough solar were very realiable and good for bucks. Analogue watches never give much features like digital and use. What are your views? I found Solar is best option as far features and thing for money goes. Automatics are very expensive and don’t worth in utility that much.

You are one hell of colorful student.

Thanks everyone for your replies but i know these things and i am finding it hard to get a good Automatic here so what is the best alternative. Is solar battery replaced?

i am fed up of having twice tried Seiko automatic watches with lesser price from Amazon. All start getting slow within a day even after wearing the watch almost half day in morning it is six hours behind. I tried SNKM97 Seiko Re craft series Silver Stone. I am thinking to shift to Kinetic Quartz

I am new to watches. I recently bought a Bulova with leather strap. I find metal strap beautiful but uncomfortable while leather or rubber keep watch at its place. What are your views on it?

Thank you. You have brought up some very legitimate points.

I found its watches very very beautiful and in lower price range. Other big brands are way too expensive.

I have found Casio a very balance brand. It is simple but robust and cheap. G Shock is his style. It is a Casio G-Shock Black Rubber Casual Watch For Men - AE-1400WH-1AVDF, Resin.

I am a new collector. I like beautiful looking watches. I have seen these brands making quite cheap and beautiful watches. Which one do you experts suggest? And second is Amazon a good platform to buy watches?

It is a Qolam Men's Digital Analog Diving Full Steel Business Altimeter Compass 200m Waterproof Wrist Watch. How it is as compared to Casio Protrek PRG650Y-1? I am looking for a watch with protrek functionality but it looks like a dress watch. Any other brand or watch anyone can suggest which fulfill this criteria

I already own a Casio Protrek Night Safari but it is more of sporty type. It looks like a dress watch. Any suggestions on the brand?

Thank you for such an elaborate answer. What is your opinion on Automatic vs Quartz for a new watch lover especially when my budget is not more than 500$.

I am new to watch collection. I couldn’t afford any brand earlier. Now i have started with Casio Protrek and a simple analogue beside one NaviForce.

What about maintenance issues for automatic? It is difficult to find good shops in my city.

No deliver in my country. Second hand is not an option.

[–] Contended-Forever@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

There are many but they are totally out of my budget. I like beautiful watches nothing simple.

Why not Casio or Fossil?

It is very difficult to find Good second hands are not available in my country. Tissot and Hamilton are totally out of my budget.

I always being passionate about watches but unluckily couldn’t afford any basic brand watch. My first brand watch was Casio simple Analogue. Now i am planning for something stunning. Should i go for a Seiko Automatic green dial or Casio Edifice, Fossil and Bulova?
