I'm building a new house soon, and looked heavily into this. Live in USDA zone 5 Midwest.

First, like many have mention, I MUST keep gas furnace to handle the few weeks of -10F we have.

SECOND - the cost of gas is SO CHEAP, and electricity SO HIGH - that it ALWAYS costs more to run the heat pump. Even adjusting the heat pump range.

I couldn't justify spending $10k more on the house, just to spend more on monthly bills.

My gas is like $7/mmbtu, and electricity $0.20/kwh.

Yeah I definitely saw the solar flares article.

This living person trusts the living flares we're the cause, as they never rejected my coupons.

they suck in the US too even with larger roads. my kids walk in front of these trucks and they don't clear the hood.

regular-sized human 8yr olds shorter than stock hoods.

20% / $5 on true "takeout"? When you drive/walk there, go to the counter, wait, and leave with food?

I love the generosity and understand the point for appreciating workers, but that still sounds too generous for getting zero "service" and only getting food.

be sure to call them lumpy pillows!

yeah not to sound brainwashed but I also think it might just be a bug for paid accounts. it's also not hurting me, and doesn't affect my ability to check mail.

I very much agree with that first sentence. I think they forget how much they know at a baseline, and can't skip that when talking to a copy-paste idiot like me.

.... chrysler what are you doing

hey that's me! or am I you?

but yes, same. Old people at work shake their head at me. Young people at work shake their head at me.

That said - more and more I find myself relating to the younger ones, even the fresh Zoomers entering the workplace.

interesting, thanks for the education. I also came here to shout "how are there sanctions left to give?!", and I didn't consider 'rules of engagement' would apply like that.

Obama seems too high? Other than being a relief after Bush2, what did he do? Just ACA?

We're seeing that across my commodity chemical market prices too. The prices China offers seem... literally impossible. We are almost certain that China is paying either all the capital for the infrastructure, or just subsidizing 10x harder than we (US/EU) do.
