Nice collection! I have a Seiko 5 that is probably about the same age as yours, did you happen to buy that jubilee bracelet or at least know who manufactured it? Just curious because I’ve wanted one but haven’t found one that fits, at least not as clean as yours.

I’ve been dying to say this lmao

I’m planning on sending it out to their Torrance location. Sucks, but hopefully they can give it another couple decades of life.

Questions about promaster tough.

Hello, I am somewhat new to collecting watches and I just picked up this Promaster tough “Ray Mears” Yellowstone edition watch with the 7878 movement. As pumped as I was to start rocking it, I have already encountered a few problems. First, I can not set the date. When I’m at the first click with the crown it does not budge, the crown will just spin around and I won’t get any date movement no matter how much I move it around. Secondly, I am not sure if this is normal for these watches considering to get to the movement you have to go through the bezel, but after messing with the crown and stem trying to get the date to set, the entire stem pulled out of the watch. It goes right back in, but again I’m not sure if that is normal and it is very difficult to find info on this watch. Lastly, as I was messing with it I noticed that the chapter ring (sorry if that is incorrect) is way off. You can see how far the seconds marks are off when looking at the watch at an angle. I understand this is an old watch, ~20 years, but Im curious if I should be concerned with all of this. I’m more than willing to send it to Citizen, have it serviced, etc but I have read that sometimes Citizen won’t mess with these because they don’t have the parts for them anymore. Thank you for all your help, I hope I can get this watch running smoothly because I absolutely love it!

TLDR: Watch has multiple issues and probably needs serviced amongst other things and I am trying to feel out what my options are.
