Yes this is an example of someone only looking at stats and entirely ignoring everything else which is sloppy analysis.

I dont even think we can win this year. People should respect the Nuggets. Jokic is the best player right now and it's with a gap.

Wizards are the definition of an unserious team. Down 2 and what do you do? Turn it over on the inbound by being out of bounds.

I always want to say this but feel like I'd be mocked lol.

It is just a game so it wasn't realistic, but 5 out with heavy rotations on defense and aggressive help defense to force turnovers was always my jam in the 2000 2k days. It's just that I found it unrealistic for them to do in real life until they did it. I'm not sure it was a talent thing as much of a coaching thing that teams didn't go down this route faster.

Similarly playing 2k like Presti does.

It's even more crazy he did it at that time.

The league talent might be better today, but coaching/health and recovery/accommodations in terms of flights/hotels/etc(and yes shit accommodations would lead to more fatigue, especially back in the 60s), and most importantly the rules all were far less favourable back then.

People talk about zone defense a lot because Jordan himself said it would have hindered him, but a lot of the rule changes and changes to the way the game is called(dont call travelling/carrying violations, footwork violations, moving screens) would have all allowed him to be even more dominant offensively.
