Sigh. Spend an hour looking for a solution, fall back to a post asking for help, find the solution 5min later....

For anyone else searching in the future:

From paperless-ngxs settings page (logged in as an admin)

'Open Django-Admin' > 'Paperless Mail' > 'Processed Mails'

Select what you'd like, then delete.

Running the media streaming software on a separate machine is a good idea IF you need transcoding; ie, you need/want to translate the files into another format or a lower quality (for poor remote connections) on-the-fly before serving them to users.

If your clients can play the files just fine as-is, another machine doesn't really add anything except complexity.

Yup.

I refuse to buy any vehicle made after 2015, and even that's quite a bit newer than I'd like.

Yeah, this looks like a 'straw that broke the camels back' type of situation. I wonder what else was on his 'rap sheet'.

The last town I lived in didn't do door-to-door mail for ANYONE. If you want your mail, come to the post office.

Private carriers like Fedex/Purolator are a bit more accommodating, but tracking down your regular letter mail was your problem.

The post office worker's would get super pissed off if you received mail with your actual address on it instead of the PO box too. Taking 10sec to type it into the computer to match street address with PO box was the end of the world apparently...

Na, they were too busy being pisssed of they couldn't just say "nothing we can do, there's no way to track the thief down" and walk away like usual.

🤦 They're not saying accidents don't happen...

Look at the bold words.

Hanes stole tens of thousands from a local church, then a local investor club, and finally his daughter's college fund, NBC News reported. Then when all those wells dried up, he started stealing bank funds

Wow, what a PoS

As lemmy doesn't notify users of mod actions; it's your job to go look at it when you notice your post/comment was removed.

I agree that part of the software should be improved, but that's where we're at now. Gotta work with what you have.

Whining about this under a random news article isn't going to change things. This topic should have been a separate, constructive, post; now this whole comment section and the pile of downvotes is all about you, and the news that was shared has been completely overshadowed because of it.

Get over it and move on; or find a more constructive method of communication.

I won't reply further.

Seems you read an entirely different article...

Chick-fil-A is reportedly launching a

but that is apparently what Chick-fil-A (yes, the fast food chain) is planning to do.

Deadline reports that Chick-fil-A is

Chick-fil-A has yet to announce or publicly comment

All the article OP posted mentions, beyond saying Chick-fil-A is doing this, is:

But it feels important to bear in mind that Chick-fil-A is owned by the Cathy family, whose independently managed trust was instrumental in the foundation of Trilith Studios -- the Atlanta studio most well known for its frequent work for Marvel.

I'm not disputing what you've said about who's actually behind this; but to talk down to everyone here like that info was already given to them is rather shitty.

Once again:

It's right there in the mod log. As lemmy doesn't notify users of mod actions; it's your job to go look at it when you notice your post/comment was removed.

I agree that part of the software should be improved, but that's where we're at now. Gotta work with what you have.

My point is to draw attention to... ...the fact they aren't even following their own rules for situations like this

Then you should have made a [meta] post talking about it and requesting change; not added passive aggressive notes to an otherwise unrelated news article.
