I haven't had any issues seeing my posts show up on mastodon

https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@Die4Ever@programming.dev

But I think your post was around when federation was bugged until the server was restarted

edit: I just responded to this comment but now I noticed this is 3 years old lol how did this post show up on Hot? integer underflow?

seems to be happening on programming.dev but not lemmy.ml maybe before programming.dev only has it at 1 score instead of 12?

What about the logs for lemmy? Also can you share your docker-compose.yml and lemmy.hjson? Make sure to redact the password from pictrs and postgres

just a guess, but looks like it's listing every upvote as a reblog by the community?

the list could combine all the reblogs by the same user into a single line, no need to show multiple I think

I'm not talking about the "New" sort method for comments, I'm talking about the "New Comments" sort method for posts

https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/03-votes-and-ranking.html

New Comments: Bumps posts to the top when they are created or receive a new reply, analogous to the sorting of traditional forums

[–] Die4Ever@programming.dev 4 points 10 months ago (2 children)

traditional old-school forum software and I think that revives older content better, as one user commenting on an old post will bring up a thread to the top again.

Lemmy does this if you use the "New Comments" sort method

[–] Die4Ever@programming.dev 2 points 10 months ago

This is my most wanted feature right now for Boost

[–] Die4Ever@programming.dev 17 points 10 months ago

yes I think there can be a lot of power here, Reddit was really bad about this

sometimes I like to sort posts by "New Comments" so it's like an old style forum, Reddit couldn't do this at all and it was awful, Lemmy's "Active" sort is also pretty good for this

imagine if someone creates a truly better Reddit alternative than Lemmy and all the others (or maybe just a fork and not truly brand new)

they don't have to fight against the momentum and start with 0 users and 0 content, they get kickstarted by the content already in the Fediverse, so people will be more willing to jump in

so the best platform actually has the chance to shine instead of dying because no one is using it, but it also doesn't leave users behind who prefer the other platforms, and the other platforms have a chance to catch up again with all the access to the shared content

Interesting that the hands on the parents are mostly alright, maybe they were fixed manually. But the kids' hands are all messed up.

Look at the girl on the far left side lol, she has 3 arms and fingers are bending in every direction, truly horrific

And the boy on the right side has some oddly chonky hands lol and definitely not the correct number of fingers on each hand

Worms speedruns in the past have been really cool, definitely looking forward to that. And Mario 2 is always amazing.

There is a literal DOG doing a speedrun of Gyromite on Tuesday

Also any Doom game is always worth watching! Also Donkey Kong or Sonic games

And the awful games block is always hilarious, I think starting Wednesday night / Thursday morning with Beetlejuice, and running all the way to Skator Gator 3D, I know Virtual Hydlide is a funny one in there, and Skull Island: Rise of Kong is one of the newest games ever featured in an awful games block

The schedule is a bit easier to read and Ctrl+f here: https://horaro.org/agdq/2024
